Hey thanks for checking out my bio and listening to Mix!!
I'm a true Texan, born and raised in Dallas. I've been in radio for over 10 years now and Mix is one of the best stations I have ever worked for! I have actually had several jobs in and out of radio. I worked in Promotions and Marketing while in college and landed on the air after college graduation.
Believe it or not, I got a degree in Broadcast Journalism! I also worked in Sales for a NBA basketball team and as a Marketing Manager for a credit card company, all while DJ-ing part time too. I got my first full time On-Air job here in the Austin area in the late 90's! I also met my better half here in Austin!
His name is John and he works in the high tech field. In 2001, John and I moved to Houston where I worked for another radio station. My pride and joy was born in 2002 and I left radio to become a stay at home mom. This was the toughest job I have ever had!!! ALL Stay at home moms deserve a 6 figure paycheck!
We moved back to Austin in mid 2002 and I started DJ-ing part time for my old radio station. I missed radio too much to stay away! I switched to Mix and our sister station in 2003 and have been happy ever since! I recently completed an alternative teacher certification program and teach first grade. However, I will continue to work in radio for as long as my access card works!
