Every Friday Catch "The Friday Fashion Fix" with Elaina Martin
Elaina J. Martin studied apparel design and production at Oklahoma State University. While in school she spent two summers in New York City, the first as a wardrobe intern at W magazine, the second designing clothing at Liz Claiborne. After graduating, Elaina moved to New York City and freelanced for a variety of fashion and event companies. Most notable of her experiences was working with KCD Worldwide Inc., a prestigious fashion public relations firm assisting in planning and production of shows and parties for Marc Jacobs, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen, Anna Sui, Roland Mouret, Victoria’s Secret, and Cloak during Olympus Fashion Week for five seasons. She has been a fashion assistant at a magazine created by publishing giant Gruner + Jahr and a style assistant at the former Budget Living. Her styling projects have included fashion styling of the cast of MTV’s Real World: Austin for their press photos and set styling for a short film. In addition to styling, Elaina is also a writer and has been published in Women’s Wear Daily and JANE magazine. After spending more than a year at an Austin-based magazine, she is now the Executive Editor of Brilliant magazine, a luxury lifestyle magazine for the state of Texas.
